British - Home Guard - Leather Anklets

Made using the same type of "wrinkled" hide as the 1939 Bayonet Frog, these Anklets were a common sight & another unique Home Guard identifier. As with the Frogs the Anklets were made from a tan/brown hide.

BLACK ANKLETS are  often encountered, or advertised as being Home Guard, but these are from WW2 & post-war CIVIL DEFENCE issued examples; sometimes WW2 Home Guard issued that have been dyed black post-war for reissue to Civil Defence units as a cost saving measure.

The brass buckles used in my Anklets are new production, the small rivets are solid brass, all sewing done by hand, etc.
Maker stamps and rubber size stamps are in the pipeline....at present these are size stamped on the upper with a metal number punch.
