About MOORE LEATHER

Welcome to the Moore Leather website

IMPORTANT NOTE - March 2024
THIS WEBSITE HAD BEEN LOCKED FOR SEVERAL YEARS DUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH LOST PASSWORDS
AS A COUPLE OF LAPTOPS CRASHED WITH A YEAR OR SO OF EACH OTHER.

QUITE A FEW PAGES  ARE NOW "UNDER CONSTRUCTION"
AS A RESULT OF SITE IMAGES BEING LOST IN THE 2021 HOSTING CHANGES.

AS PAGE UPDATES ARE COMPLETED & IMAGES RESTORED,
THE RED TEXT ON EACH PAGE WILL BE REMOVED.

I'm a specialist leatherworker presently based in County Durham, England.

I started trading full time in 2004, from a small crafts workshop on the Hirsel Estate in Coldstream, Scotland,
having taken up leatherworking as a serious hobby more than 2 decades earlier.

I hope you enjoy the website and get a good idea of what products I make, some idea of what I have made in the past, and maybe some inspiration for what I may be able to make for you in the future.
If there is a particular item you need, then you can either use the navigation bar to the left of this page,
scrolling down through the different categories or use the search box above.

If you don't find what you are looking for, let me know & I will see if I can help: my minimum custom order is "one".

Please feel free to get in touch by e-mail if you want to discuss having a custom order made,
or to arrange any repairs you may need to an old original item.
I am also happy to provide free advice on renovation & the best way to take care of leather goods.

Should you wish to place an order, send me an e-mail with the details of the item(s) you are interested in, together with your delivery address details & any particular shipping preferences.

See the CONTACT ME page for more information.

Photo shows a very similar US Army Saddlers Pony to what I use for hand-sewing
My version of the Pony is 4 years younger than the date of the photo, was made in 1918, yet is still in regular use.
Most of the tools that can be seen on the workbench would also be of the same make & vintage as the tools on my workbench!
