The majority of the Victorian police and constabulary equipment was leather, from the default waist belt to the handcuff pouch and all manner of other items. The text below has a lot of links to the current range,
plus there are a few images of recently made products.
This main page is a placeholder for the default Snake-Buckle belt design & to use as a starting point to locate related accessories.
SNAKE-BUCKLE BELT
One of the most common Police issue belts from the Victorian era through to the mid-1940's was this black leather design with chromed Snake-buckle ("S" buckle) & single chromed size adjuster loop-buckle.
The belts have a range of size adjustments to allow for wear over different items of uniform, etc.
The design utilises a fixed buckle loop on one side, with the adjustable side using the movable belt loop.
An original period belt, with old Bullseye Lamp & new lamp protector pad fitted
RELATED ACCESSORIES
A matching leather pad that fits onto the belt to stop oil from the old Bullseye lanterns from staining the tunic & burning the wearer is available (this accessory is quite time specific, as the use of oil in the lamps died off with the adoption of battery models) as is a belt pouch for the Hiatt handcuffs.
As well as supplying the plain black Snake ("S") buckle belts, the leather Bullseye oil-lamp protector pad & the leather Hiatt cuff pouch, the early pattern of Cutlass Frog is also an option.

Not strictly "post-WW2" but a popular Police item which fits here is the Dog Handler style of lead.
