NEWS & UPDATES

March 2024

It's taken almost 6 years to finally re-establish reliable access to the website,
so LOTS to update: your patience is appreciated!

THIS WEBSITE HAD BEEN LOCKED FOR SEVERAL YEARS DUE TO TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH LOST PASSWORDS
AS  A COUPLE OF LAPTOPS CRASHED WITHIN ABOUT A YEAR OF EACH OTHER.
FAR TOO MANY PAGES  ARE NOW, SADLY, "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" AS A RESULT

(MOST UPLOADED SITE IMAGES HAVING BEEN LOST IN THE 2021 BotoPhucket HOSTING CHANGES)

AS PAGES ARE UPDATED & IMAGES RESTORED,  THE RED TEXT ON EACH PAGE WILL BE REMOVED.

AUTUMN 2018 NEWS

HAVING A FEW EMAIL FORWARDING PROBLEMS, SO UNABLE TO PROCESS NEW ORDERS OR ENQUIRIES UNTIL THIS IS FIXED.

SUMMER 2018 NEWS

Having been locked out of the website for two years, I have managed to re-establish access, so have begun the slow task of updating it!

The loss of access to the site unfortunately coincided with the PhotoBucket snafu, so not good timing....

The generic image-free kitten of doom boxes are gradually being replaced by correct images as I juggle my workload.

A few more items on the available list, the newest is a carrier option for the new Ruger BX-25 magazine.

Photos of this have been added to the relevant page alongside the existing 10/22 magazine carriers.

Another couple of knife scabbards are now available for the SOG Seal Pup;

one is a retro WW2 "M6 style",the other based on a 1960's Randall scabbard.

2015 NEWS

Another 12 months of research & a little trial & error on the three new scabbard designs mentioned below,

has now seen all the glitches & bugs sorted.

The first  of the Marine Force Raider scabbards have already been received in the USA, with more shipping out as news spreads.

M1907 sling fittings are out again for an updated quote, seeing as metal prices seem to fluctuate.

The brass & steel "D-rings" side of  those slings is all sorted now; the updated quote is for the brass hooks/frogs.

Watch this space for more info...

A couple of "new" F~S Scabbards are also available too.

The "Shanghai Police " pattern & the SOE "Camp X"

2014 NEWS:

I have added an accessories section to the site, as I can now supply a few odds & ends that may appeal to some of my customers.

The one I'm most excited about is KROIL as it is difficult to source in the UK

Requests for a decent reproduction of the WW2 issue U.S.M.C. "Force Raider" Stiletto Scabbard

have finally resulted in some development time & bench work.

The new page has been added with a few details of the design, plus some photos of the rough prototype scabbard.

This will improve as & when the fittings on order arrive...

If the new design was not good enough news as-is,

with a couple of very minor tweaks it also becomes the basis of the U.S.N. V-42 Scabbard,

for U.S.S. OMAHA issue of V-42 knives.

To make a 2014 World Cup Free-Zone hat-trick

The "Force Raider" front design, mated to a longer rear, becomes an issue V-42 scabbard.

These will soon be offered, alongside the two other new scabbards above.

Again, several versions were made in WW2 for the 1st Special Service Force;

I plan to offer the most common types.

June 2014 was a good month for scabbards

M1907 Sling metalwork is away for quote with a good U.K. manufacturer; fittings may be here by late February / early March.

As soon as I have the fittings I will be able to make M1907 slings again.

UPDATE: The quote finally arrived...I may need to sell a kidney, but I hope to restart production the M1907 slings late Summer/early Autumn...

The M6 scabbards have seen a couple of minor tweaks - one being to the brand of snap fastener on the closing strap.

I ran out of the brand I had used previously, so my M6 scabbards now have a BABY DOT on the strap; they look really good.

Updated M6 photographs have been added to the main M6 page...more will follow as time allows.

A few new items have been added to the website & some other items have changed their location on the site,

hopefully this will make it easier to find a couple of the smaller items that may have otherwise been overlooked.

Some of the less popular items have also been dropped from the website...this will be an ongoing process.

Continuing issues around the lack of a decent work-space have somewhat come to a head,

with several 2013 orders taking longer than should have been the case.

Sincere apologies to anyone affected by these delays.

2014 surprisingly, for the great, seemingly uneducated, media-led masses,

marks the 100th year anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.

I may bring out a few more W.W.1 era items,

in case anyone wishes to add to their collections or needs items for school talks, etc.

if so - contact me!

PLEASE NOTE:

2014 is ALSO the 70th Anniversay of the D-Day Invasion of Normandy - plus several other 1944 battles and campaigns -

so put some effort in 2014 into thanking those Normandy, & other WW2 campaign, veterans that are still with us!
