WW1 - British
Several patterns of sniper scope were used by the British Army in WW1, culminating in the excellent Pattern 18 scope;
which went on to see service in the early years of WW2 until replaced by the No.32 scope as fitted to the No.4(T) rifle.
Shown below are some of the many patterns of scope cap that I am able to replicate
- ALL my reproductions being based on direct study of original surviving WW1 scope caps as fitted to their specific model of scope

A much more simple set of scope caps than were used for the WW1 Australian 1918 scope

The British issue set had a single piece connecting strap.
Made from dark bridle butt leather & sewn with correct white thread.
